Michael S. Blaiss, MD
Michael S. Blaiss, MD, is a clinical professor of pediatrics and medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and in private practice at Allergy and Asthma Care, both in Memphis, Tennessee. He has presented at more than 250 meetings and seminars throughout the world on such topics as allergic rhinitis, asthma, socioeconomic subjects in allergy and asthma, and issues in compliance and adherence.
Dr. Blaiss has written for several peer-reviewed journals, including Journal of Pediatrics, Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, and JAMA. He is co-editor of the Atlas of Allergic Diseases and has contributed to several allergy textbooks. In addition, he is a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Asthma and the Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
Dr. Blaiss is a fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and was named to the list of Best Doctors in America from 1999 to 2008. He serves on the board of directors for the American Board of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and is a past president of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.
Dr. Blaiss received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences. After completing his residency at Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center, he completed a fellowship in allergy/immunology at Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Eli Meltzer, MD
Eli Meltzer, MD, is a clinical professor of pediatrics at the University of California, San Diego, and past chief, Division of Allergy and Immunology at Children’s Hospital in San Diego. He is also on the faculty of the Allergy and Immunology Fellowship Training Program at the Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation.
For more than 30 years, Dr. Meltzer has been co-director of Allergy & Asthma Medical Group and Research Center in San Diego. During this time he has participated in over 600 research studies focused on various aspects of respiratory disease and has served as a consultant to numerous pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. He has lectured throughout the world on topics including asthma, rhinitis, sinusitis, and immunotherapy and has authored more than 500 scientific publications.
Dr. Meltzer earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, completed his residency in pediatrics at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and completed his fellowship training in allergy and clinical immunology at National Jewish Medical and Research Center in Denver, Colorado.
Dr. Meltzer is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (recipient, Distinguished Clinician Award), the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (recipient, Distinguished Fellow Award), and the American Academy of Pediatrics (recipient, Section on Allergy and Immunology’s Jerome Glaser Distinguished Service Award).
He has been a member of national and international advisory groups including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Pulmonary/Allergy Advisory Committee, the Rhinosinusitis Initiative, and the World Health Organization’s initiatives Allergic Rhinitis Impact on Asthma (ARIA) and InterAirways. He has also served as president of the San Diego Allergy Society, the California Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, and the Joint Council of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.

Kevin R. Murphy, MD
Kevin R. Murphy, MD, is a clinical professor of pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. He is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric pulmonology, and specializes in adult and pediatric allergy, asthma, and pediatric pulmonology. He has been committed to clinical research for more than 20 years and serves as Director of Allergy, Asthma, and Pulmonary Research at Boys Town National Research Hospital.
Dr. Murphy has played an active role in the medical community by developing medical response protocols for asthma and allergic reactions in local and state-wide school systems. He is unveiling a new Test for Respiratory and Asthma Control in Kids, called TRACK, to physicians across the country. This standardized questionnaire will help evaluate and measure asthma and respiratory control in children less than 5 years of age.
Dr. Murphy is a graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Medicine and completed his pediatric residency at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He conducted his fellowship program in adult and pediatric allergy, immunology, and pediatric pulmonology at the University of Colorado Health Science Center and National Jewish Center for Immunology and Respiratory Health in Denver, Colorado.
Dr. Murphy is the founding board member, chair of the medical review board, and past president of Attack on Asthma Nebraska, a nonprofit organization that provides comprehensive asthma and allergy awareness, education, and medical treatment to schools. He is also a current member of the board of directors for the Allergy and Asthma Network Mothers of Asthmatics. He has authored and coauthored more than 100 peer-reviewed articles, editorials, and book chapters. His clinical and research interests are the evaluation and treatment of young children with asthma and allergic disease.
Robert A. Nathan, MD
Dr. Robert A. Nathan is a clinical professor of medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado. He has been in private practice at Asthma and Allergy Associates and Research Center since 1979 in Colorado Springs and Pueblo, Colorado. He received his medical degree and internal medicine training at the University of Miami School of Medicine and affiliated hospitals in Miami, Florida. He did his fellowship in allergy and immunology at National Jewish Hospital in Denver, and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
Dr. Nathan is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and was a member of its board of directors. He is also a fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and served on its board of regents. He is immediate past president of the Joint Council of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. He is also a fellow of the American College of Physicians and American College of Chest Physicians.
Dr. Nathan is past president of the Colorado Allergy Society; the Western Society of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology; the El Paso County Medical Society; and the Pikes Peak Regional Council of the American Lung Association of Colorado. He also served on the board of directors of the Colorado Medical Society and the American Lung Association of Colorado, where he was recipient of the President’s Award.
With 30 years of clinical research experience in asthma, allergy, and related disorders, Dr. Nathan serves as a consultant for numerous pharmaceutical companies. He has lectured extensively nationally and internationally on various topics including asthma control and burden of rhinitis. He has been a member of the editorial boards for Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, Allergy and Asthma Proceedings, and Journal of Asthma. Dr. Nathan has authored more than 110 peer-review articles, editorials, and chapters.
Dr. Nathan has been included in America’s Top Doctors and America’s Top Physician, and in 2009 was named by USA Today as one of the most influential physicians in asthma care.
Stuart W. Stoloff, MD, FAAAI, FAAFP
Stuart W. Stoloff, MD, is a graduate of the University of Arizona and completed his medical training at Temple University School of Medicine. Both his surgical internship and family practice residency were done at the University of Utah Medical Center.
Dr. Stoloff is a clinical professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He has maintained a private practice specializing in family medicine in Carson City, Nevada since 1978. He is a fellow of both the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
He is a member of the National Institutes of Health; National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute; National Asthma Education and Prevention Program Science Base Committee for monitoring world asthma research literature; and a member of the Expert Medical Panel II & III of the National Heart, Lung & Blood Institute for “Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Asthma.” He is a member of the Asthma Outcomes Workshop sponsored by the NHLBI, AHRQ, and other organizations. He served as a member of both the Working Group on Pregnancy and Asthma of the NAEPP and on the expert medical panel for Pediatric Asthma: Promoting Best Practice Guide for Managing Asthma in Children. He is vice chair of the National Asthma Education and Prevention Program Practical Guide Dissemination Initiative of the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology, and a member of the Task Force on Allergic Disorders of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. He has also served as a member of the executive committee of the US COPD Coalition and works with the NHLBI on COPD projects.
Dr. Stoloff has published extensively and served on the editorial advisory board of Respiratory Digest. He is a reviewer for The Journal of Pediatrics, European Respiratory Journal, Journal of the American Medical Association, American Family Physician, Journal of Family Practice, Mayo Clinic Proceedings, and The Journal of Respiratory Disease.
He was the recipient of the Special Service Award 2000 of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and named Nevada Family Physician of the year in 1997.
